Make games worth playing, with people worth working with, in a way that leaves the world a little better than we found it.
Flat, not top-down
There's no corner office here. We work as a horizontal team: everyone who contributes has a voice, and nobody's idea wins because of a job title. Two things drive our decisions:
- Evidence. We test, measure, playtest and look at what actually happens — and we change our minds when the facts say so.
- Merit. Credit, responsibility and trust follow the work people put in. Good ideas can come from anywhere, and the best one wins.
Fun before profit
We make games. Creativity, play and craft come first; money is how we keep the lights on and keep making things — it isn't the point. You don't need a superyacht to enjoy a good game, and nobody here is trying to buy one. That means no dark patterns, no manipulative monetization, and no designing around how much we can squeeze out of you.
Your data is not for sale. Ever.
We don't sell your data, trade it, or build a profile of you — and we never will. It's simply not something we're comfortable with. We collect the basics and nothing more:
- anonymous, cookie-free visit counts from analytics we host ourselves, so we know which pages people read;
- whatever you choose to send us — an account, a message, a note through the contact form — so we can reply and stay in touch.
Personal details are stored encrypted, payments happen on Stripe's or PayPal's own pages so your card never touches our servers, and you can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time. The details are in our privacy & data policy.
Learning out loud
We're figuring a lot of this out as we go — especially in the strange, fast-moving frontier that AI and tech are right now. We use new tools where they genuinely help, we're honest about how we use them, and we'd rather ask hard questions in the open than pretend we have every answer. (For the record: Mystified's art and sound are drawn and synthesized in code, not generated by AI.) When we get something wrong, we'll say so and fix it.
